Set beneath the building’s distinctive dome, the space can host up to 300 guests cocktail-style, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a north-facing balcony capturing sweeping views across Geelong, Corio Bay and towards the You Yangs.

Its location is another big tick for conference organisers. Sitting in Geelong’s cultural precinct alongside Johnstone Park, Wurdi Youang is within easy walking distance of the CBD, waterfront, Geelong Railway Station and city accommodation - making it an easy option for an off-site conference function without the need for lengthy transfers.

New catering partners are giving planners greater flexibility across everything from seated dinners and cocktail functions to relaxed, ready-to-serve catering.

Blak Brews and Truffleduck can deliver seated meals, cocktails and canapés, while drop-off options are also available through Seasons Catering, The Culinary Collective at The Gordon and 17by4.

The venue itself has had a refresh too, with new carpet, updates to the industrial kitchen and new lounge furniture, tables and chairs for the balcony.
