Three months after welcoming its first guests, the 200-room hotel has now been formally launched, marking the completion of the $120 million development by IHG Hotels & Resorts. The official launch event offered a glimpse into what planners can expect when hosting at the property. More than 150 guests were welcomed via a striking waterfront-inspired arrival - a blue carpet lined with sand and candlelight - setting the tone for an immersive and highly considered event experience. Inside, the celebration continued with coastal-inspired details, from freshly shucked oysters to playful desserts reflecting Geelong’s iconic bollards, alongside live cooking stations showcasing the hotel’s culinary offering.

Beyond conferences, Crowne Plaza Geelong is positioning itself as a standout destination for incentive experiences. Delegates can unwind with elevated offerings such as a bespoke High Tea at the rooftop Skyline Bar, complete with sweeping views across Corio Bay, or take part in hands-on experiences like pizza-making masterclasses at Sociali Trattoria - ideal for team building and memorable group moments.
