Showcasing the Best of Geelong & The Bellarine: Nyaal Banyul Famil Recap
Meet Geelong recently had the pleasure of hosting Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre's executive team on a tour of the region designed to connect the executive team with the incredible venues, experiences, local flavours and produce suppliers across Geelong and The Bellarine.
With the centre set to open in 2026, this tour gave the Nyaal Banyul executive team a chance to experience the region’s product offering firsthand - an invaluable step in building connections with local partners and shaping future delegate experiences. From gourmet tastings to creative workshops, the itinerary was designed to showcase the diversity that makes Geelong and The Bellarine a dynamic business events destination.
Where We Went
The Paddock Bakery – Kicked things off in style with a hands-on pastry decorating experience paired with freshly brewed coffee.
Portarlington Mussel Tours – Took to the water for a mussel farm tour, learning about local aquaculture and tasting the freshest mussels straight from the bay.
Bellarine Distillery (The Whiskery) – Enjoyed an intimate gin and whisky tasting in the rustic charm of the Whiskery while feasting on woodfire pizza's for lunch.
Scotchmans Hill Winery – Sampled award-winning wines while soaking in panoramic vineyard views.
Murrell Chauffeur Drive – Travelled in comfort and style thanks to our expert local transfer partner.
Bellarine Smokehouse – Savoured artisan smoked seafood paired with local accompaniments.
Flying Brick Cider Co. – Experienced the vibrant atmosphere and refreshing ciders that have made this venue a Bellarine favourite. We also took the opportunity to enjoy a round of lawn games, which kicked off an evening of competitiveness between teams.
1915 Restaurant & Bar – Stepped inside Geelong’s historic Federal Woollen Mills for a site tour discovering this modern venue and dining experience which blends history and innovation.
MexiCam’s – Added a burst of flavour with authentic Mexican cuisine in the heart of Geelong. The team spirit continued here as we took advantage of the games, bowling and karaoke areas. These additions make it the perfect venue for not only a welcome function but team building iniatitives.
The Range at Curlewis – Explored a premier golfing destination with state-of-the-art facilities and a unique blend of sport and leisure.
Provenance x Elizabeth Bell Ceramics – Unleashed creativity with a pottery class hosted with Provenances stunning venue and led by renowned local ceramicist Elizabeth Bell.

This famil was about more than just visiting venues—it was about building relationships and creating a shared vision for the future of business events in the region.
